I would never <!--more--><br \/>\nhave thought so many sticks would be required to make a chair, but there you go.<\/p>\n<p>The legs, of course. And the stretchers between them &#8211; an &#8216;h&#8217; shaped arrangement of sticks which when properly made tension (stretch) the legs. The pressure being what assists with the structural integrity.<\/p>\n<p>Then a pair of triplet sticks for the arm rests, and finally a variable number of sticks for the back of the chair. This is apparently a completely arbitrary decision based on aesthetics. Minimum of five, maximum of eight. Even or odd? Even means your spine does not impact on a stick, odd gives your back support. Apparently wars have been fought over such subtleties.<\/p>\n<p>Another day, and another batch of new muscles make their presence known through heightened pain receptors. More beer.
